Sorry about the delay, folks. I’ve been very busy. However, to make sure you guys aren’t completely in the dark, I have taken plenty of pictures of my progress for you to oggle at. I had to exclude some pictures of the PC Board I soldered for the Pre-Amp as they came out completely fuzzy. I will post those as soon as I take higher quality pictures. So here they are:
- Testing Rig for the circuit.
- The second foam mock-up.
- The joys of working with Bondo…
- The initial Bondo case after excessive amounts of sanding.
- The Bondo case cut open with a Dremel.
- Case hollowed and re-enforced.
- Case after the prong was embedded into it.
- The general work area for most of the Bondo work.
- The case with the final coat of paint.
- Prepping for the potting of the pick-up.
- The potting of the pick-up.
A lot of things happened in the past 3 weeks since I made my last post. Currently, I’m busy testing the PC Board of the pre-amp and then things should come together quite nicely. It’s just a matter of soldering the buttons and slider to a second PC Board and we are set for assembly. It’s going to be a gnarly 4 days, but I’ll post the completed stuff on Friday.
Also, my public presentation is on Wednesday, Dec. 17th, 2008. I’ll be presenting with the other Super Seniors from 4 – 8 PM in the Connelly Auditorium in the Terra Building. For those interested in coming, the address is 211 S. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA. The Auditorium is on the 8th Floor.
P.S. Sorry about not having a MIDI file recorded for everyone.
